Deployment regions

Four regional hubs aligned to your operating market

StoRegister assigns each customer environment to an appropriate AWS deployment region during solution planning. The choice is documented with the hosting model before implementation begins.

eu-west-3

Europe & UK

Paris

Primary regional deployment option for self-storage operators serving European and UK markets.

us-east-2

US & Canada

Ohio

Primary regional deployment option for self-storage operators serving the United States and Canada.

me-central-1

Middle East

UAE

Primary regional deployment option for self-storage operators serving Middle Eastern markets.

Primary regional deployment option for self-storage operators serving Asia-Pacific markets.

Dedicated hosting option

A customer-preferred AWS Region when your requirements call for it

Businesses with specific infrastructure or location requirements can choose a dedicated StoRegister hosting option in a customer-preferred AWS Region. Availability, architecture and implementation scope are reviewed with your team during solution planning.

Data protection approach

Data location is one part of responsible data handling

Regional infrastructure can support data-residency and operational requirements. Responsible data handling also depends on why information is processed, who can access it, how long it is retained and the responsibilities agreed between the customer and StoRegister.

01

Plan the data location

Select the deployment region by considering the markets served and the requirements identified for the project.

02

Define roles and access

Confirm operational responsibilities, authorised users, identity requirements and relevant access controls before implementation.

03

Set lifecycle requirements

Document migration, retention, export and deletion requirements in line with your policies and applicable obligations.

Regulatory context by market

Privacy obligations follow the people and processing, not only the server

StoRegister supports operators across Europe, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Canada. The relevant framework depends on where people are located, how data is used, the organisations involved and whether personal data moves across borders.

Europe & United Kingdom

EU GDPR and UK data protection

The Paris region can support European data-location planning. GDPR and UK requirements still depend on lawful processing, transparency, minimisation, retention, security, transfers and accountability.

Saudi Arabia

Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)

For Saudi operations, using StoRegister's UAE region may involve processing personal data outside the Kingdom. The Saudi controller should assess the PDPL, its Implementing Regulations and the transfer regulation, including applicable safeguards and documentation.

United States

Federal and state privacy requirements

The US does not have one comprehensive federal consumer privacy law. Federal sector-specific rules and state privacy laws may apply. CCPA/CPRA is California-specific; requirements elsewhere depend on the data, activity, location and each law's thresholds.

Canada

PIPEDA and provincial laws

PIPEDA governs many private-sector commercial activities and personal information crossing provincial or national borders. Provincial privacy laws may apply instead of or alongside PIPEDA depending on the organisation, data and activity.

Before implementation

Make the hosting decision part of solution planning

Your deployment should reflect how the business operates, where its facilities and customers are located, and which technical requirements matter to the project.

  • Markets and facilities served
  • Regional or dedicated hosting model
  • Preferred AWS deployment region
  • Identity, access and SSO requirements
  • Integrations and migration scope
  • Validation and go-live plan

View all FAQs
Where does StoRegister host customer environments?

StoRegister uses region-based AWS infrastructure. The standard deployment hubs are Paris for Europe and the United Kingdom, Ohio for the United States and Canada, the UAE for the Middle East, and Sydney for Asia-Pacific markets.

Can StoRegister provide hosting in a customer-preferred AWS Region?

Yes. StoRegister supports a dedicated hosting option in a customer-preferred AWS Region for businesses with specific infrastructure or location requirements. Availability, architecture and project scope are confirmed during solution planning.

How is the AWS deployment region selected?

The deployment region is selected during solution planning based on the markets the customer serves and the infrastructure requirements identified for the project. The hosting model and region are confirmed before implementation.

Does selecting a regional AWS location guarantee compliance with GDPR, Saudi PDPL, CCPA or PIPEDA?

No. Regional hosting can support data-residency and operational requirements, but compliance depends on the people and businesses involved, the processing purpose, access, retention, transfers, safeguards and each party's responsibilities.

What should a Saudi operator consider when using StoRegister's UAE region?

Processing Saudi customer data in the UAE may constitute a transfer outside the Kingdom. The Saudi controller should assess the PDPL, its Implementing Regulations and the Regulation on Personal Data Transfer Outside the Kingdom, including any risk assessment, safeguards and documentation that apply, with qualified counsel.

Does CCPA cover the entire United States?

No. CCPA, as amended by CPRA, applies to qualifying businesses handling California residents' personal information. The United States does not have one comprehensive federal consumer privacy law; federal sector-specific rules and other state privacy laws may apply depending on the data, activity, location and statutory thresholds.

What hosting requirements are reviewed before implementation?

StoRegister reviews the markets served, preferred deployment region, regional or dedicated hosting model, identity and access requirements, integrations, data migration needs and implementation scope with the customer before deployment.
